𝐋𝐮𝐩𝐮𝐬: Understanding the Chronic Autoimmune Disease

Lupus, officially known as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect various parts of the body, including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs. In lupus, the immune system, which is supposed to protect the body from infections, instead attacks healthy tissues and organs. This leads to inflammation, pain, and damage in affected areas.
